Scope Building NT are proud to showcase our recently completed project Alice Springs Hospital – Hybrid Operating Theatre!
This project specifically focussed on the addition of a new Hybrid Operating Theatre to the existing Day Procedure Unit with a complete refit of the DPU ward, and extension of the roof top Plant Room to house new equipment specific to the Hybrid Theatre.
Equipped with a specialist Siemens Healthineers digital angiography system allowing for both surgery and advanced imaging to be performed in the same room. Surgeons and imaging specialists can work together in real time to perform acute procedures such as blood vessel repair, heart valve replacement, renal access, and trauma cases with improved accuracy and patient safety.
A long-term vision of the dedicated team at the Alice Springs Hospital to improve the already high level of care provided, we are proud to have worked with the NT Government to deliver this exceptional facility to Central Australia.
A testament to the quality in delivery of this project was recognition at the 2025 Master Builders NT Excellence in Building & Construction Awards, with the project being awarded top honours in the following categories.
- Health Facility of the Year
- Commercial & Retail Fit out or Alteration Over $1 Million
- Southern Region Project of the Year
This success has the project further recognised by nominations in the 2025 Master Builders National Awards held in Adelaide in November.
A challenging project within an operational health facility could not be achieved without the hard work of our dedicated team of staff, sub-contractors, suppliers and Hodgkison Architects, along with the Department of Logistics and Infrastructure, Arnhem Project Management, and the Alice Springs Hospital projects team. Your combined efforts are recognised and appreciated.
