DESCRIPTION:
Scope Building were the successful contractors for the Terminal Maintenance Project at the Gove Airport. The Terminal Maintenance project includes of the remedial works of the Entry Awnings – made up of Roof 1 & 2, and remedial works to the lower roof and upper roof.
The remedial works for the Entry Awnings included:
– The removal of existing cladding & purlins
– Cleaning of the structural steel columns, rafters, tie beams and bracing to remove all surface corrosion.
– Replacement of structural bolts
– Prep and paint steel work
– Install new Purlins
– Installation of new Colourbond Trimdek roof sheeting
– Installation of new Colourbond Ultra Flashing along the side eaves
Upper Roof works included:
– Removal of existing roof, purlins, soffit cladding, stainless steel gutters & gutter support brackets
– Removal of existing services, roof ventilators & electrical fittings
– Cleaning of structural steel to remove surface corrosion
– Prep & paint steelwork
– Install new Purlins
– Installation of new Colourbond Ultra Trimdek roof sheeting
– Install new soffit cladding
– Install new Colourbond Ultra flashings
– Reinstall gutter & stainless steel brackets
– Reinstate existing or new services, roof ventilators & electrical fittings.
The project was finished within the specified varied timeline, to budget and to a high standard.
There were no WorkSafe issues.
